Of the Board of Directors of the

Camp Meeker Recreation and Park District

Tuesday, August 12, 2008, 7:00 pm

ANDERSON HALL, 101 LAKESIDE

I. Call To Order

The meeting was called to order by Acting President Helfrich at 7:00 p.m.

II. Roll Call

Directors Helfrich, Meyer and Anderson were present. Director Crawford was not present.

III. Approval Of Agenda

A motion was made by Fred Meyer, seconded by Cathie Anderson to approve the agenda.

The motion was approved. Ayes: 3 Nays: 0 Absent: 1

IV. Statements Of Abstention

There were no statements of abstention.

V. Public Comment

There was no public comment.

VII. ACTION AGENDA

A. ACQUISTION OF TAX SALE PARCELS:

DESCRIPTION: The Board considered purchasing parcels being sold by the County of Sonoma for property tax default and the payment for said parcels that totals $52,250.00. The purpose of the acquisition would be to expand existing recreation areas, fish enhancement, possible wastewater disposal and to preserve open space within the District.

Parcel numbers and associated costs are:

074-110-003 $4,700.00

074-120-001 $3,350.00

075-040-001 $25,650.00

075-040-015 $6,100.00

075-141-006 $3,200.00

075-171-001 $3,300.00

075-176-003 $2,650.00

075-260-004 $3,300.00

ACTION: A motion was made by Fred Meyer and seconded by Cathie Anderson that the District purchase parcels in tax default from the County of Sonoma pending attorney review and title search.

The motion was approved. Ayes: 3 Nays: 0 Absent: 1

IX. ADJOURNMENT

As there was no further business to be brought before the Board at this time, a motion was made by Fred Meyer, seconded by Cathie Anderson to adjourn this special meeting of the Camp Meeker Recreation and Park District Board of Directors.

The motion was approved.

The meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
